ONE THING I WANT TO CHANGE ABOUT THE WORLD by Ajab Barbhaya

Usually, while walking in a public area, a lot of us feel insecure, we tend to think how everybody is watching, taking in our appearance, judging us by our color, weight or clothes. That makes us feel uncomfortable, making us feel that we aren’t good enough, that we aren’t beautiful, BUT, WHY?

We are very judgmental. Quick to judge any person by their appearance, and that is not correct! Day by day, the inequality increases, the place is changing into a place which would, one day, be divided by color and religion! Constant wars and terrorism would take place making it hard to live, or most importantly making it hard to be free and happy!

In many countries in the world, women are considered quite low than men. They are just expected to do household chores and to manage the family, while men are presented wide range or opportunities (jobs, scholarships etc.) Women are considered weak, some places don’t allow them to have proper education, to live free and happy. Women and men are equal! They need to have the same rights! Women need to be offered wide jobs, opportunities, need to get a life which can make them feel strong and dignified.

People live in different places in the world. Some of them have a different skin color or religion, but a lot of them are judged, bullied and treated badly. Why does it matter?! The personality is something which you should look at, not appearance! People aren’t books, don’t judge them by their cover! They might be different but every single person is unique and beautiful in their own way! All of you who have to constantly go through people who judge you, I am telling you something – You are one of the strongest and beautiful person I’ve ever met! Don’t let anyone show you who you are1 Show you your limit! Show your importance because- YOU ARE YOU, NOT ANYBODY ELSE!!

School can be hard. Tension of home-work, exams etc., bombard students every time, but most importantly, a lot of them are bullied< because of their weight or status! If they are showed low in such a young age, they would face higher depression and anxiety in their life! Start to feel insecure in a very young age! To solve this problem, we need to support them, make them strong to overcome this challenge. They need to know that they are not what they are being called, they are better!

WHY do people get judged by their skin color?! WHY are they judged by their religion?! WHY are they judged by the place they are from?! WHY are women considered weak?! WHY aren’t they proud to be a girl?! WHY are people judged by their clothes or status?! I may be a small girl, my voice might not be heard, but I just want to say one thing
You are you! Beautiful and Unique!!
