ONE THING THAT I WOULD CHANGE ABOUT THE WORLD by Khadija Juzer

If you want to change the world pick up your pen and write. Everyone deserves just as much respect as anyone else, as all men are created equal; why do people treat each other so horribly?

Just practice good, do good for others without thinking of making yourself known so that you may gain a reward, really bring benefit to others gaining nothing for yourself. This is the primary requisite for breaking free of attachment to the self.
If I could change one thing in the word, it would be how society treats people who are different. Society treats and judges people by the way they look, sometimes they judge you by the way you sound, the way you move, by the clothes you wear, the religion you follow and now it seems also by what we can or can’t eat. Meeting of the minds should happen in these types of matters. At the end of the road this drives me fuming! People just don’t bother taking the time to get to know others before they become judgmental. Some cases also refer to a little girl being miffed, for no fault of her own, for something she has no control over and is wrong because she deserves superior.
You really can change the world if you care enough. If each of us tried to be more caring, made a concerted effort to treat people with respect, we would make this world a much finer place to live in. you know what’s so crazy, the fact that it would so easy all you have to do is treat people the way you think you deserve to be treated as. Here is an example. Don’t offend people or make fun of them. Value their opinions. Listen to what they have to say. Be considerate of their likes and dislikes. Don’t tease others and talk about them behind their backs. Be caring about their feelings and don’t force them to do something they don’t want to do. We live in a diverse world. That makes it thought-provoking because we are all inimitable, one has said “Equality at all bases”, if only we could get along better with each other and show more respect to each other, things would be so better for all of mankind. Yes, we will meet people meet who different from us, what a wonderful opportunity that brings us to learning new things.
Sometimes I meet people from different continents and that is part of the fascination: I always learn something new from them, discover fascinating differences in our lifestyle, making friends who are totally different from me. This is about by: never stereotyping anybody because I learnt long ago that everyone is unique, always showing curiosity in them as individuals try to make time for everybody I come into contact with.
So what if we are each different in our own ways? How boring things would be if we are each different by listening to others how they want us to be. How featureless would it be if everyone is the same!
The UAE has earned a place for itself because of its strict insistence on tolerance. People here live under the same roof. To me, this world we live in would be far a better place if we learn to treat others the way we want to be treated and respect then for who they are. If every decision you made and every action you took you deliberately avoided harming another human being, you would be making the word a better place and if you taught ten other places to do the same, how long would it be before our word became a better place you live - FOR EVERYBODY!
ACT AS IF WHAT YOU DO MAKES A DIFFERENCE.
